Iron Palm, Is The Secret Out?

When I talk to people about Iron Palm, they think that it’s just about breaking bricks. They even ask, “Why do you want to learn how to break bricks?”. Well, it’s not about breaking bricks. What it is about is cultivating and controlling your Chi, your internal energy.

I look at Chi and where it is stored like money and a bank account, a Chi account, if you will. Deposits have to be made, savings for our “golden years”. The more you know about cultivating it, and “depositing it into your account”, the more internal energy you’ll have when you need it the most.

Once we have an account built up, we have to be able to manage our account. We have to be able to move the energy where we want to, when we want to. That is the Mind-Body connection, to transmit energy where we command it to go.

This is Iron Palm training, this is what we’re after. The breaking of the bricks is strictly a training aid. It’s a measuring devise. It is also a way of losing Chi. You lose Chi from fighting, breaking bricks, and through sex. That’s why Semen Retention, is so vital. That’s why it is so important to makes deposits into your “Chi Account”, and not
withdrawls.

This is a problem that happens with most Iron Palm people.
They stop training because their capabilities become greater.

They think that they have the “heavy hand” and that they have some good techniques, so they slow down in their learning, in their training, and depend on their hand.

This has been a grave error that many a skillful martial artist have made. Fundamentals, the basics are always going to be necessary.

Grand Master Tung Sheng Chang, never trained his hand in Iron Palm. He trained his elbows. When I learned this, I began training my elbows as well. I did keep up with my palm training though.

This was the reason that he didn’t train his hand. He didn’t want to become dependent on this unique special training. He saw many men die from their dependency.

Think about it, the year is 1930, you master this special program, then several years afterward you begin slowing down in your training. Then you receive a challenge, you take the challenge. You feel as though your abilities will see you through. But once the fighting begins, you see the “rust” that has built up on you. You want so badly to land that one blow. The one that will end it, the one that will get you home tonight.

You can see the rest of the story. GM Chang, saw it too many times. How much knowledge went to the graves with these masters?

Most of the Iron Palm courses that are out there start the student off with the striking of a bag filled with mung beans. Then, they move up to the bag that is filled with gravel, all the while using the herbal medicine known as Dit Da Jow.

Dit Da Jow, is a simple formula we call bruise medicine. This formula will get rid of bruises, aches and pains, and so forth.
And, it might be a good formula for striking beans and gravel, but, for striking a canvas bag, that is filled with iron shot (about the same size as BB’s) this bruise medicine will not do.

One of the Herbalist that I use for our Iron Palm formula, told me that he and some of his students, put a little of my medicine on their hands, he then told me that their hands were tingeling. This man is an Herbalist, and he said that he had never felt this before.

This is Iron Palm medicine. This is what it does. It pulls your energy, your Chi, to the part of the body that it’s applied to.

There are many different types of formulas, many of them containing between 9 and 16 different herbs in them. I have seen a couple of formulas that have as many as 30 herbs in them. The formula that has been passed down to me has 39 different herbs in it! It is by far the best that I have ever used. It isn’t by any stretch of anyone’s imagination, a Dit Da Jow. It is an Iron Palm medicine.

Steve Hamp, is a 6th Degree Black Belt in the Chinese Martial Arts. He is soaring quickly because of his willingness to teach and his knowledge of health and the Chinese martial arts. You can find out more about Iron Palm by going to;

Choosing the Spectacles that Suit You

Glasses or specs, more formally known as eyeglasses or spectacles, are frames bearing prescription lenses worn in front of the eyeballs, commonly for vision rectification, eye security, or for protection from UV rays.

Modern-day Specs are usually supported by pads on the top of the nose and by temples placed around the ears. Historical forms include the pince-nez, monocle, and lorgnette.

Eyeglass frames are ordinarily created from metal or plastic. Lenses were in the first place made with glass, but many are now manufactured from assorted synthetic types of metal plastic, including CR-39 and polycarbonate. These materials lower the peril of breaking and weigh less than glass lenses. Some plastics also have more advantageous optical properties compared to glass, such as better transmission of visible light and greater absorption of ultraviolet light. Some plastics have a bigger index of refraction compared with most types of glass; this could be useful in the making of corrective lenses shaped to correct various sight irregularities such as shortsightedness, permitting thinner lenses for a given prescription. Newer plastic lenses, called izon, may also correct for the higher order optical aberrations that naturally happen on the surface of the eye. These lenses make sharper vision and help with the halos, starbursts, and comet-tails often associated with night time driving glare. Wavefront guided LASIK surgery
may also correct for the higher order aberrations.

Scratch-resistant finishes could be applied to most plastic lenses giving them corresponding scratch resistance to glass. Hydrophobic coatings designed to ease cleaning are also forthcoming, as are anti-reflective coatings thought to reduce glare, ameliorate night vision and make the wearer’s eyes more visible.

Summary
There are money moments every day that you can use to teach your children important skills and lessons about life. Is it a good idea to pay for chores or grades? How do you help your child develop a work ethic? How do you structure an allowance to help your child learn to make choices? Why is involving your kids in charity important? Jon and Eileen Gallo, experts about children, psychology and money, provide parents with eight key behaviors to help them raise financially responsible children.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
What you say and do about money has a profound influence on your
child. There are money moments every day that you can use to teach
your children important skills and lessons about life. But what to say
or do isn’t always obvious. Is it a good idea to pay for chores or
grades? How do you help your child develop a work ethic? How do you
structure an allowance to help your child learn to make choices? Why
is involving your children in charity so important? Jon and Eileen
Gallo, experts in the fields of children, psychology and money,
provide parents with eight key behaviors that will help them raise
financially responsible children:

1. Encourage a work ethic
Work ethic is a learned behavior, and parents are the best models to
teach kids to acquire it. If you want your children to work hard and
derive meaning and satisfaction from what they do, make sure you are
modeling the right messages. Insisting your kids do their homework and
help around the house does not guarantee they will grow up with a
sense of accountability and a desire to achieve. Developing a work
ethic in your child is a holistic process and the eight money
behaviors of a financially intelligent parent are keys to this
process.

2. Get your own money stories straight
Because you send your children messages about money all the time, it
is imperative that both you and your spouse are on the same page when
it comes to your money stories. A money story is an open, honest and
personal story of your relationship with financial issues, especially
as you grew up because most people’s relationship with money developed
during childhood. You need to identify why you feel the way you do
about money so you can send coherent and consistent messages to your
kids. When both parents focus on their money stories, children receive
positive messages. Getting your money stories straight does not just
mean that you agree on basic issues such as allowances and college
savings. It also means that both of you have agreed to identify
certain basic money values you want to teach your children, such as
giving is good, working hard is its own reward, and you don’t always
get everything you want.

3. Facilitate financial reflection
As with most decisions kids make, when it comes to money decisions
they are frequently impulsive. As a financially intelligent parent,
you want to teach your children how to think in terms of choices,
alternatives and consequences. This is called reflective thinking.
Learning how to reflect both before and after making a decision is a
great life skill, and one that is the hallmark of people who make good
choices in everything from careers to relationships to investments.
Financially intelligent parents teach their children to evaluate
financial consequences based on available choices rather than making
impulsive decisions. As a result, children recognize that there are
many options available and they acquire the skill to make good
choices.

4. Become a charitable family
By teaching your children that they can do more with money than spend
it on themselves, you encourage them to become more compassionate and
caring. By participating as a family in volunteer and community
activities, you help your children develop empathy and a sense of
responsibility to others. Your children will realize they have the
power to make life better for others. Because children learn through
modeling behavior, you have to do more than write a check to charity.
You need to show your children what it means to help others. Modeling
charitable behaviors, including volunteerism, can jump start your
child’s empathy and desire to help others.

5. Teach financial literacy
Although it is important to teach children how to balance a checkbook
and create a budget, to become truly financially literate your
children must learn within a context of values and money behaviors.
Your children need a combination of concrete examples, their own
experiences and financial reflection. If they do not learn to behave
responsibly with money as kids, they will have to learn as adults when
the cost is much higher. One of the best tools to teach your children
financial literacy is an allowance. Approaching allowances in a
consistently constructive way allows you to instill decision-making
wisdom in your children rather than controlling them. An allowance
also helps your children gain a well-balanced perspective about money,
encouraging saving, investing and giving, in addition to spending.

6. Awareness of the values you model
Your children are tuned in to your purchasing decisions. The ways you
spend your money sends messages to your children about your values and
life priorities. Children also notice how you spend your time and your
actions can unintentionally send messages you did not intend your
children to receive. When you miss opportunities to spend time with
your children in order to put in extra hours at work or manage your
money, you are sending a message that money is more important than
family. Financially intelligent parents are highly conscious of their
spending habits, as well as how they balance their work and family
time, and the values they communicate.

7. Moderate extreme money tendencies
Extreme money tendencies can evolve into money disorders which cause
chaos within your family and send the wrong messages to your children.
There are several types of money disorders, ranging from excessive
shopping to racking up credit card debt to excessive frugality.
Regardless of the disorder, extreme money tendencies cause your
children to experience confusion and insecurity in their lives.
Financially intelligent parents learn to recognize and moderate
extreme money behaviors.

8. Talking about the tough topics
Parents avoid talking about financial topics that make them
uncomfortable or that seem too complicated. Although you model good
money behaviors in certain ways, unless you compliment these behaviors
with good money conversations, you are not being as effective as you
could be. Financially intelligent parents recognize teachable times
each day that give you and your children the opportunity to talk about
financial issues. You should welcome these opportunities, as difficult
as they are, to discuss and reflect on financial decisions.

Brief History of Dallas

Searching for a trading post, entrepreneur John Neely Bryan came across the area of Dallas in 1839. When a treaty prohibited this area to Native Americans, Bryan designated the land for a permanent settlement instead. He erected a cabin along the bank of the Trinity River in 1841. Settlers soon took Bryan’s lead, with most of them coming from an older community called Bird’s Fort, located 22 miles away. At nearby La Réunion, a French utopian settlement was coming to an end. The settlers there transferred to their more thriving neighbor sometime in the 1850s. By 1860, Bryan’s community had 2,000 residents. Eventually the community was named Dallas, after US Vice-President George Mifflin Dallas. Dallas became the permanent county seat in 1850 and a town in 1856. Dallas received a great influx of African-Americans and Southerners after the US Civil War, which left most other Southern towns destroyed. Dallas was comparatively unscathed. In 1872, the first trains arrived in town. The economy benefited immediately; Dallas’ populace ballooned to 7,000 from 3,000 in just one year. Dallas soon became the Southwest’s retail hub, hosting the first ever Neiman Marcus store. Wholesale trading flourished in the town, too. Dallas started shipping locally produced raw materials, like cotton, leather, and grain. Dallas annexed the adjacent community of East Dallas in 1890, and Oak Cliff in 1903. In 1907, Dallas organized its own Cotton Exchange, one of the largest cotton markets in the world. The city turned even more important with the 1930 discovery of the immense East Texas oil field.

Finally…The Truth About Calcium Supplements

Finally…The Truth About Calcium Supplements
By: Dr. Loretta Lanphier, ND, CCN, HHP

Undoubtedly calcium has become a hot topic of controversy. We are bombarded with advertising telling us exactly what will give our body more calcium. Between the “Got Milk?” slogans on one end and the Coral Calcium “cure-all” TV spots on the opposite end it is time that the truth be exposed. Let’s look at why we need calcium and then some signs of calcium deficiency.

How the Body Uses Calcium:

Strong bones, teeth and gums
Maintaining a regular heartbeat
The lowering of cholesterol
Helps prevent cardiovascular disease
Needed for muscular growth and contraction
Prevents muscle cramps
Essential in blood clotting
Helps prevent cancer
May lower blood pressure
May prevent bone loss associated with osteoporosis
Helps to activate enzymes which breaks down fats
Maintains proper cell membrane permeability
Helps keep skin healthy
Protects against preeclampsia during pregnancy
Can help reduce high blood pressure in pregnancy
Protects the bones and teeth from lead by inhibiting absorption of this metal

Calcium DeficiencySymptoms:

Aching joints
Brittle nails
Eczema
Elevated blood cholesterol
Heart palpitations
High blood pressure
Muscle Cramps
Insomnia
Nervousness
Numbness in arms or legs
Rheumatoid arthritis
Tooth decay
Depression
Hyperactivity
Hives
Psoriasis

“Got Milk?”…Are You Really Getting Calcium?

No way! The damage that this one slogan is doing to the health of Americans, especially children, is tremendous. Consider the following written by Robert Cohen (www.notmilk.com):

A publication in the February, 2003 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Vol. 77, No. 2, 504-511) clearly demonstrates that eighteen years of milk consumption
did not prevent hip fractures for post-menopausal women.

How many subjects participated in the study?

A mere 72,337. As part of Walter Willett’s Harvard Nurses Study, investigator Diane Feskanich performed statistical tests of significance for 18 years of data including dietary
intake of calcium (dairy and supplements) to determine her findings.

The conclusion reached from this observational analyses, is that dietary calcium plays little or no role in preventing bone loss. Drinking milk does not prevent osteoporosis. A
total of 603 hip fractures were analyzed. Scientists determined that milk consumption was in no way associated with hip fracture risk. The same conclusion was reached for total calcium consumption.

The Harvard Nurses study previously determined that there is no positive association between teenaged milk consumption and the risk of adult fractures. (American Journal of Public Health 1997;87). As a matter of fact, just the opposite was found to be true. Women consuming greater amounts of calcium from dairy foods suffered significantly increased risks of hip fractures.

In light of these findings, the dairy industry milk mustache campaign has been proven to be one enormous deception. Bones break because women eating the wrong foods create an acid condition in their own bloodstreams, which must be neutralized by available calcium. The body achieves balance by taking calcium out of its own bones. Ergo, people eating the greatest amount of total animal protein are the ones experiencing accelerated rates of bone loss. The same Journal of Clinical Nutrition, (1995; 61, 4) confirmed this
truth:

“Dietary protein increases production of acid in the blood which can be neutralized by calcium mobilized from the skeleton.”

Eighteen years earlier, as the Harvard Nurses study was just beginning, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (1979;32,4) reported:

“Even when eating 1,400 mg of calcium daily, one can lose up to 4% of his or her bone mass each year while consuming a high-protein diet.”

Why do you imagine that today’s most recent study will not be publicized on tonight’s 6 PM news, or headlined in your local newspaper? Because it lacks one critical ingredient.
Cash. For a story to be released, it must be accompanied by paid dairy industry advertising. In this deceptively dangerous manner, most of us get our biased health information.

Milk? It does not do the body good.

Coral Calcium

How these people have been in business so long just amazes me! I used to get spammed at least ten times per day with advertisements suggesting that Coral Calcium cures just about everything!! I have often wondered just where the FDA police was during all of this hype.

Coral calcium is calcium carbonate and is no better than the calcium that is available in most drug stores or vitamin stores. What is calcium carbonate? Chalk! Put a piece in a glass of water and see how long it takes to dissolve…believe me, you will be there for longer than you care to know. Yes, you may get some benefit from it but it is not the most absorbable form of calcium and therefore not the most beneficial.

Ridiculous Claims:

It’s from the ocean: Not “everything” in the ocean is wonderful. Ever read about how polluted our oceans are? Enough said.

The people in Okinawa live longer and look younger: When doing research on this you will find that their longevity is more than likely contributed to their diet and stress-free life. There is no supplement that will ever take the place of good nutritional balancing.

Disease Cure-All: This is the one that makes me cringe. There has not been one study to back up any cure from taking calcium (any kind) alone. Yes, the body needs calcium to function properly, but calcium, by itself, will not cure anything! I do believe in disease elimination using natural methods but there is no magic bullet and no magic supplement. If a company is selling a product claiming a “cure-all” this should raise huge red flags.

Calcium OrotateThe Best From of Calcium Available
According to studies conducted by Dr. Hans Nieper (Germany) only Calcium Orotate penetrates directly through the cell membrane, delivering calcium to the interior of the cell where it is readily utilized.
Orotates are mineral salts of orotic acid used by plants and animals to make DNA and RNA. Hans Nieper, a physician and dabbler in offbeat theories of gravitation, used orotates clinically prior to 1980. He thought that orotate salts, being neutrally charged, pass easily through cell membranes. In effect, orotate ferries the mineral atoms into cells and tissues, producing higher concentrations.
Nieper promoted orotates as treatments for nearly every ailment imaginable and was consequently ignored; most of his medical claims were never rigorously tested. But in certain applications such as athletic performance where his ideas have recently received scientific scrutiny, they have been found to work. Nieper may have been on the right track after all.
Dr. Nieper’s theoretical explanations of the mechanisms behind his stunning success in the clinical application of sophisticated mineral transporters rely heavily on the concept of the fixed pore mechanism of active transport. The theory called fixed pore mechanism suggests that a carrier molecule, in this case Orotic Acid (B-13), is attached to the compound being transported. This research has lead to the creation of mineral chelates called orotic acid chelates, or orotates which offers a 20 fold increase in utilizing minerals.
Calcium orotate was used by Nieper to treat bone loss and pain due to inflammation or osteoporosis, high blood pressure, angina pectoris, multiple sclerosis, encephalitis, retinitis, hepatitis, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, phlebitis and colitis. In addition, it is very effective against psoriasis, a scaling skin disorder. The long-term clinical tolerance and overall value of calcium orotate is far superior to other therapeutic calcium substances and to the so-called immune depressors.
Calcium Orotate is one of the three mineral transporters that is the most active in providing treatment for bone decalcification. Abatement of Accumulated Air Pollution After Terrorist Attack

Smart heads up thinkers are busy trying to guess what type of International Terrorist attack the scum of the Earth might try next. We know that they seem to like chemicals and gasses and we also know that they like to blow stuff up.

In either of such events; whether it be an attack on a chemical plant, the release of toxic gases or blowing something up, we need to have a plan to clean the air, understand the velocity and direction of the flow and the possible dispersion of the gas cloud as well.

You see, abatement of any and all localized and accumulated air pollution of any kind after an International Terrorist attack will indeed be serious and need to be taken care of immediately. Any toxic clouds, which are too big to be controlled or abated will require swift assessment and immediate introduction of a reverse 911 calling plan to evacuate and allow first responders suit up and get ready to deal with survivors.

Unfortunately we failed after the Twin Tower bombings and now 19,000 people are dying from the “911 Cough” which put debris in their longs. Fortunately we learned a very valuable lesson and we know what to do in the future when this happens again. We must control and initiate the abatement of accumulated air pollution after a terrorist attack. Please consider this in 2006.
