Slow Play

I’m not going to lie to you-I tend to get overexcited about things. A friend of mine once told me that I feel the highest highs and the lowest lows (no, I’m not bipolar), and I make sure that everyone knows it. This personality does not work well for the aspiring poker players. One of the most important abilities for any poker player is the ability to hide your feelings whether you’re excited or disappointed by your hand.

I’ve got a pretty good handle on physically reacting in the same way whether I get a great or terrible poker hand, but my tell usually comes in the form of how I bet. I think that the most noticeable chink in my armor is how I react when I’ve got a good hand-I don’t think about what I’m doing before I do it. I usually come right out betting, and I bet big when I do. Any player who know me at all knows that I’ve got a really solid hand when I bet this way, and it tends to screw me over pretty bad. It’s not fun to have a full house if everybody folds when you get it.

If you’re like me, try to take a breath before you make any play, instead of making hasty bets that can negate a monster hand at Everest Poker telecharger. When it’s your turn to act, slow down, think about what you want to do, and how you think your opponents are going to act before you do it.
